The depression at middle right is a freshly hatched turtle nest (within the last 12-14 hours), while at image center are the tracks of the hatchling turtles as they made their way to the water (located about 20 feet left of the image). The nest contained about 140 eggs, of which 2 never developed, and 2 had still born hatchlings. We found 4 hatchlings alive but unable to get out of the nest, and released them.
